Lakewood Drive
Lakewood Drive is purpose-built and creates a happy and nurturing environment for your child under one roof. We have a wonderful outdoor play and exploration area and love the ‘bottom field’ and all the outdoor adventure time that it gives.
Our teachers believe in knowing your children and identifying their strengths, abilities and interests. Our program provides experiences based on the interest of the child/children. This learning and development is documented in each child’s individual profile book.
We offer a safe learning environment where your child is encouraged to interact, explore and make decisions. Teachers work alongside your child on an individual basis, as well as in group activities, to develop you child’s interests and abilities.
Our Philosophy
As Kaiako we offer a welcoming environment to support our tamariki in their learning journey by providing a stimulating, respectful, inclusive environment.
Through encouraging and empowering our children to learn through free play, both independently and collaboratively with their peers.
We value strong rituals and routines within a positive holistic learning environment. By offering a safe, calm, caring environment where we support the wellbeing of our tamariki by encouraging their interactions. Through these daily experiences the children are guided by Kaiako to positively grow their social confidence and competency alongside their peers.
We work alongside our whanau to support their goals for their children, by encompassing the child’s strengths and individual cultural values to support the tamariki to grow into confident lifelong learners.
We embrace the biculturalism of Aotearoa/New Zealand by offering resources and experiences to support tangata whenuatanga, and te ao maori.
